Sivaraman Immigration Team Attends Virtual Luncheon Meeting with Charlie Oppenheim

On February 9, Sivaraman Immigration Law team members attended a virtual luncheon meeting with Charlie Oppenheim, the recently retired Chief of the Immigrant Visa Control and Reporting Division of the U.S. Department of State. Hosted by the Federal Bar Association, attendees shared insights on the green card process as well as changes to visa processing that have occurred over the last few years. Mr. Oppenheim shared his thoughts on forward movement and retrogression of both family and employment-based preference categories and other related issues, which impact our clients that we are assisting through the green card process.
