USCIS Increases Premium Processing Fee

USCIS Increases Premium P…

USCIS announced that beginning on November 29, 2019 the premium processing fee for Form I-129 and Form I-140 will increase from $1,410 to $1,440. Premium processing is an optional service that allows petitioners to request 15-day processing on certain forms for an extra fee. Petitioners pay this fee in addition to the base filing fee as well as any other application fees. It cannot be waived. USCIS claims that this fee increase is due to a rise in inflation. The fee change is based on the Consumer Price Index for all Urban Consumers (CPI-U). USCIS last raised this fee in 2018.
