Fiscal Year 2023 H-1B Cap Has Been Reached

USCIS recently announced that the fiscal year (FY) 2023 H-1B Cap - the congressionally-mandated quota of 65,000 regular H-1B visas and 20,000 advanced-degree H-1B visas - has been reached. USCIS has updated all non-selected registrants' online account statuses to "Not selected - not eligible to file an H-1B cap petition based on this registration." USCIS continues to accept and process petitions for cap-exempt individuals, including current H-1B workers who have retained their cap numbers.
