Enterprise Change of Address Self-Service Tool

On October 12, 2023, USCIS launched their new self-service tool for updating physical and mailing addresses. The Enterprise Change of Address (E-COA) tool can be accessed via a USCIS online account.

The tool is only available in English and individuals must provide their last name, date of birth, as well as new physical and mailing addresses; they are also encouraged to provide additional information about their pending application, petition, or request. For those without pending applications, petitions, or requests, this tool satisfies the requirement of notifying USCIS of relocation.

For individuals who have pending or approved applications or petitioners for Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) benefits, T nonimmigrant status, or U nonimmigrant status and their beneficiaries or derivatives, the E-COA cannot be used during the initial phase. For represented applicants or petitioners, a change of address can be requested by emailing the designated mailbox under the Inquiries for VAWA, T, and U filings section of the USCIS Contact Us page. For unrepresented applicants or petitioners, follow the instructions on the How to Change Your Address website.

For individuals who requested parole for an Afghan national, instructions for how to request a change of address for beneficiaries who have relocated outside of Afghanistan can be found on the Information for Afghan Nationals website.

For those who need to change their address for a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) or Privacy Act (PA) request, email FOIAPAQuestions@uscis.dhs.gov.

The original USCIS Alert for this tool can be found here.
