USCIS Presentation on Redesigned Cards and Documents

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) gave a presentation on May 8, 2017 titled "Redesigned Permanent Resident Card and Employment Authorization Document." The PowerPoint from this presentation is published on the USCIS website.

What was covered in the presentation?

The PowerPoint covered an overview of the changes, information for employees and employers, information for state and local government agencies, and a Q&A period.

USCIS began issuing the redesigned cards as part of the "Next Generation Secure Identification Document Project." The documents have enhanced graphics and "fraud-resistant security features."

The cards now display the individual's picture on both sides. They each have a new image and color palette, along with embedded holographic images. The cards also no longer display a signature, and Green Cards no longer have an optical strip.

For more information about the cards such as validity, E-Verify, and the SAVE Program, find the entire presentation here. Additionally, do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.
