FY2018 H-1B Cap Reached

USCIS Reached the H-1B Visa Cap for FY2018

As of April 7, 2017, USCIS reached the 65,000 visa H-1B cap mandated by Congress for FY2018. USCIS also received enough H-1B petitions to meet the master's cap visa exemption of 20,000. All unselected petitions will be returned by USCIS, along with the filing fees for those petitions.

What can I do now that the cap has been reached?

USCIS is still accepting and processing petitions that are exempt from the cap in other ways. However premium processing was suspended for up to six months for all H-1B petitions.
