H-1B Cap Season Coming Soon
March 29th, 2017
The H-1B Cap Season for this year will be opening on April 3, 2017. It will remain open for 5 days thereafter. This excludes non-profit institutions for research, institutions of higher education, and those seeking extension of H-1B status.
Who can apply?
In order to apply, an individual must have a job offer in the U.S. in a specialty occupation that requires at least a bachelor's degree in that field.
65,000 visas will be allotted for these individuals. In addition, another 20,000 visas are set aside for individuals with a master's degree or higher from certain non-profit or public institutions of higher education in the U.S. The total 85,000 petitions chosen will be randomly selected from a lottery.
