Civil Documents for Reciprocity

Immigrant visa applicants are required to submit specific civil documents with their application. However, most nonimmigrant visa applications do not have these same requirements. These often include documents such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, and police records. Each country has a page for civil documents on the Department of State website. This page provides detailed information about how to obtain the necessary civil documents from that country. Furthermore, to find a specific country's page, click here.
